Fat loss is a typical topic on many of our clients agendas. Over the past decade of looking after clients from all walks of life, the majority come to us with the trouble of struggling to lose fat. Everyone has tried some sort of diet, method or trend and many if not all have seen some success but always come with the agenda of struggling to sustain short term success.

1. An energy deficit must be omnipresent if fat loss is to occur!
2. Choose weight training over long bouts of cardio.
3. Utilise sprinting intervals over long duration cardio.
4. You can't out train a poor diet. Protein First!
5. NEAT. Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis! Now this is all the activity you get through in a day away from prescribed exercise!

Typically you'll eat your food within an 8 hour window and avoid food for the other 16 hours of the day. 
FYI: Simply switching your exact same meals eaten throughout the day to different times of the day will not result in weight loss, your sandwich does not know whether it's 10am or 2pm. 
Intermittent fasting can work for you if any meals and snacks (calories) eaten outside this ‘8-hour-window’ are removed from the diet resulting in an overall calorie deficit.
This style of eating could work for those sitting on the sofa at night with tea and biscuits. Between the hours of 8pm-11pm is where unhealthy snacking typically occurs so this way of eating could potentially be for you.
There are various other health and digestive reasons why people may opt for intermittent fasting, were just touching on the weight loss aspect. .
